Hypnosis Stealth Tactics Explained

Conversational Hypnosis is actually an art of easily communicating suggestions to the subject while they are in an induced state of trance. You are giving suggestions that will make the person’s life better and he will be healthier and living a better life. The only problem is to get the suggestions inside the person’s head and getting rid of resistance at the same time. Everybody has a critical filter that tells him what to believe and what to not believe. This mechanism is able to analyze information and decide what is safe to allow the mind to believe.

This critical filter is creating the resistance and this is what the hypnotist must overcome. They are the ones rejecting the suggestions. Sometimes, the critical filter inside a person’s brain can be overactive and reject good ideas and suggestions from any person. This means the critical filter of that system is rejecting absolutely anything. Stealth Tactics are what you must use to bypass this critical filter. The tactics will assist you and you will be able to influence people in a very positive way.

Stealth Tactics are a very private way of overcoming the critical factor and then make suggestions. The concepts are based on a wide set of principals which enables you to use people’s strengths against them. The purpose will be to help them improve their lives. Even if they are stealth, these tactics have good intentions. There are five Stealth Tactics and we will explain them shortly.

The first one is the Law of Reversed Effect and it is a very powerful one. This means that the harder you try, the likely you are to result in failure. This is because the person is trying to do something in a conscious way and that thing is supposed to be done by the unconscious mind. This effect is confusing and can lead to failure. But this works with conversational hypnotists because you are asking the subject to fail at something and this will result in a lower resistance.

The second Stealth Tactic is called Redirect Resistance and it is the tactic of giving the subject something that they can resist. By resisting they will feel validated and quite powerful. They will think they control their minds. But the great thing is that while resisting to an idea, they are open to other suggestions.

Refocusing Attention is the third Stealth Tactic and sometimes it is used with Redirecting Resistance. Refocusing Attention means subtly place a suggestion in the middle of a conversation and then also distract the attention of the subject somewhere else. It is quite easy.

The fourth Stealth Tactic is called Implication and it deals with body language, facial expressions or the tone of voice. You use all of these to imply something. Implying means getting pass the critical factor because the mind thinks the implications are true.

Presuppositions are considered the fifth Stealth Tactic and they are linguistic assumptions which we assume to be true. It can sound complicated but you will get the hang of it. It is a powerful tactic.

Last, but not the least, the sixth Stealth Tactic is named Binds and Double Binds. These are ways of phrasing a statement and giving the possibility of a choice that does not exist. A bind is a very sneaky way of redirecting resistance because there is no other choice. Binds and double binds are great at bypassing the critical factor.
